Voluntary Sector Forum

The Vale Royal Voluntary Sector Forum was established by VAVR with support from Vale Royal Borough and Cheshire County Council and the Primary Care Trust and is now supported by Cheshire West and Chester Council and the PCTs.

The forum aims to provide a united voice for the voluntary and community sector in Vale Royal on issues such as funding and consultation, community planning and service delivery.

Our primary purposes are to develop ways of helping small groups and to determine how the voluntary and community sector can contribute to and benefit from the Cheshire West and Chester Community Plan and to enable local groups to comment on and contribute to Cheshire West's Local Area Agreement.

The forum has recently updated the Vale Royal Compact and developed an action plan relating to each of the Compact Codes of Practice and is working to ensure that the Vale Royal voluntary and community sector benefits from the government's ChangeUp initiative.
